Knowledgeable Brewers with heart . . . tried and tested ingredients from Bavaria . . . and the world’s best brewing equipment are the components that make Red Oak Lagers the Best!
With over 60 years of experience between them, the Red Oak Brewers, known respectfully as the “Brew Crew”, are dedicated to their craft and steer the quality of North Carolina’s oldest brewery.
Red Oak employs “Star Trek” technology, and strictly follows the 1516 Bavarian Law of Purity, created when Leonardo da Vinci was alive. Ask the Brewmaster about the process and he sounds like a scientist. He conducts the Tours discussing the process as you move around the Brewery catching the grainy smell of malted barley and seeing the gleam of tanks, kettles, pipes and 22-ton silos everywhere you look.

Gizmo Gose Wild Strawberry Gose
4.3% ABV
Sometimes the best way to unwind is to get a little wild. This gose is a great place to start. First we kettle sour, using our house Lacto to lower the acidity to a tart & crisp 3.4 pH. Freshly crushed coriander and pink Himalayan salt complete the style. We didn't stop there. Ever the experimenters, we added loads of freshly pureed strawberries to add a fruity twist on a classic German sour. So pucker up; things are about to get wild.
Oktoberfest Märzen
5.5% ABV
A lager style brewed as an ale, this Oktoberfest has the traditional malt sweetness but without going overboard and is balanced by a slight bite at the finish. The body is full enough to back up the flavor experience but not become heavy. Brewed annually for Gizmo's Oktoberfest party.

APIS
Honey Bun Pastry Stout
ABV: 8.0%
This stout has a thick, full and viscous body. Hundreds of Honey Buns were mashed and boiled, providing a creamy, pillowey backdrop. Massive amounts of Buckwheat and Wildflower honey were added to the whirl, melding the former’s chocolate woodieness with the later’s lingering rich, fruity notes. Meadowfoam honey was also added during fermentation, providing a nutty vanilla flavor reminiscent of marshmallow. The result is a symphony of sweetness that will leave your pallet buzzing.
